Caribbean Kitchen offers open-air dining with superb panoramic views towards the beach, ocean and rainforest. It is a magical spot for watching hummingbirds over a leisurely lunch, savouring the sunset over cocktails, or enjoying a candle-lit dinner, serenaded by the sound of the waves. We serve inventive, wholesome food in a relaxed atmosphere, and offer table service with a smile. Join us for a refreshing drink, light bite, or a full three-course meal.
Our restaurant manager, Shneice is passionate about what she does, and her menu of locally sourced, fresh ingredients celebrates the flavours and spices for which Caribbean cooking is known. We champion the fresh fish caught daily and brought in on the small fishing boats. Whether it’s red snapper, kingfish, or tuna, we serve our fish succulent and ‘just cooked’, along with a range of other starters, mains and desserts.
Our relaxed and friendly bar serves delicious cocktails, cold beers and a selection of wines, along with fresh juices of organic fruits picked fresh from our trees. We offer excellent rums from Trinidad and Tobago which can be sampled alongside award-winning chocolate from the Tobago Cocoa Plantation – a perfect pairing! Our bar is known for its excellent cocktails – don’t miss the passionfruit mojito!
We are open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Why not try our cocktails at sunset followed by a delicious dinner. Note, last orders for food before 9pm please and do book ahead as this enables our small team to plan, shop and cook with less waste and with fresh food. You’ll find a set of sample menus below. Please note that precise dishes are decided on the day so we can reliably offer the freshest, locally available ingredients. Our team will be delighted to welcome you with big smiles.

Enjoy the finest small-batch Brazilian coffee, roasted locally, perhaps followed by a freshly squeezed ‘shot’ of grapefruit juice. Tuck into freshly made temptations – from coconut bread and chia seed pudding, to greens and eggs, or go big with an ‘island fry up’ including artisanal sausage, house baked-beans and fried bake with tamarind chutney.
Salads and home-made breads adorn the plates at lunch, with classic local dishes such as tomato & okra choka, black bean and plantain patties, and ‘Shark ‘n Bake’. Expect colourful, fresh and scrumptious light lunches, with a host of homemade sauces, pickles and chutneys. A homemade cooling cordial or iced tea make great accompaniments.
Sup on the daily aperitif whilst listening to the birdsong and take in the breath-taking views. On our dinner menu, the ‘catch of the day’ makes an appearance – fish and shell fish caught from Castara Bay, just below the restaurant. Other popular dishes may include lamb curry with coconut greens, Caribbean meatballs and sweetcorn dumplings.
Kids will enjoy some tastes from home, but with a special Caribbean twist! Homepage chicken nuggets and crispy fried fish fingers regularly make an appearance, alongside pumpkin patties and corn fritters, with a dollop of homemade pineapple sauce to finish.
From regional rums and local Carib beers, to freshly made cocktails, mocktails, homemade cordials and iced teas, we have something to suit everyone. We recommend the rum punch to sup on as the sun sets over the Bay.
We regularly welcome groups, whether they are joining a hosted retreat, or a family gathering. For a sample menu, with a mouth watering selection of Caribbean cuisine please contact our reservations team. Pre-order essential.

We enjoyed a delicious rum concoctions followed by a delicious dinner of prawns, pasta, and jerk chicken. Everything was very good and the service and atmosphere was excellent. The menu is quite varied to accommodate many tastes even though the flair is Carribean. We will come back.
The entire family we had diner in the caribbean restaurant and loved it so much that we returned the day after. The kitchen is gorgeous with caribbean flavours and a good variety of different menus, all at a fair price. It was one of the best restaurants we discovered in T&T (price/quality). The location of the restaurant is great with amazing views over Castara Bay.
