Originally a fisherman’s shack, this sensitively renovated lodge retains its original quirkiness and charm, but is now combined with gorgeous finishing, including polished wooden floors, extended decking, and elegant interiors. In designing the renovation we took care to preserve the Caribbean character, maintaining the weatherboard exterior and fretwork trim, whilst ensuring a perfect flow of space.
Castara’s stunning natural landscape is as much a part of the hideaway experience as the lodge’s design. Nestled on a little plateau on the hillside amongst our tropical gardens, with dual-aspect views down to the beach and up the coastline towards the sunset, experience the wonderful romance and seclusion of Fisherman’s Lodge.
Inside is the characterful bedroom, and spacious kitchen with seating area. The covered living deck beyond offers additional seating for dining and relaxation, with a short flight of steps leading outside to the open-to-the-stars terrace; a perfect spot for your morning coffee with the hummingbirds, cocktail at sunset, and candlelit dining watched over by fireflies and stars.
